Ebanie Bridges is back – and while she will face competiton in the ring, she might have some unexpected competition for the weigh-in.

The Blonde Bomber will go toe-to-toe with Ebonie Cotton, who, like Bridges had a unique route into the sport. While Bridges was a bodybuilder, Cotton was a dancer and model as she spent time across the globe.

And after struggling with her mental health, Cotton turned to boxing, crediting the sweet science with turning her life around: “I truly believe that boxing saved my life. I mean that in so many aspects. It allowed me to find peace.

“It gave me a structure and focus. It created a purpose for me.”

However, she would suffer an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction ahead of fighting Molly McCann – who couldn’t help but laugh at her opponent.

McCann was already laughing when Cotton came out to the scales – and could barely look in her eye as they squared up. It soon transpired why: the 31-year-old’s right nipple was exposed through her orange lingerie.

Cotton then turned professional in 2025 and made her debut in June with a four-round points victory over Kira Carter.

Meanwhile, Bridges made her long awaited return to the ring earlier this year after taking some time to start a family. However, she admitted her return might have been a bit too soon.

“I like a challenge and I like to be working towards something. I can’t just settle and be complacent. I’m a woman of my word and when I say I’m going to do something, I do it.

“I’ve learned over my years of success that you never achieve anything by quitting when it gets tough. When it gets tough, that’s when you push.

“Obviously, a win would have made it all much more worthwhile. I was quite down after my fight. I cried a lot.

“I kept thinking about all the sacrifices and all the time spent away dieting, not enjoying my son as much because I’m tired. If I’d won, it would have felt more worthwhile.”

The fire is still burning bright for the Blonde Bomber and she’s already got itchy knuckles – desperate to get back into the ring again.

“But I don’t fight to get a participation award. I fight to win. If I don’t succeed, it just makes me think I have to keep going until I succeed. So I’m back out again soon.”
