Trump has warned that “a whole civilization will die tonight” before blessing the “great people of Iran”.
After reports that the US and Israel had conducted strikes on Kharg Island, Iran’s “crown jewel”, the American President took to his Truth Social platform to say the Iranian civilisation will die “never to be brought back again”.
He wrote: “A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS?

“We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!”
Iranian media has said that Kharg Island, which serves as the country’s primary oil export terminal, handling the vast majority of its crude shipments, was “continuously bombed” today.
“It struck the airport and the Revolutionary Guard base again, and this time it also hit the docks,” reports stated. It is a major turning point in the war.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has already responded by vowing to leave the US and its allies “without oil and gas for years”.
Responding on Telegram, the IRGC said: “IRGC Warns Neighboring Countries: Our Restraint Has Ended We will do to the infrastructure of America and its partners what will leave America and its allies without the region’s oil and gas for years.”
A strike on Kharg Island would mark a major escalation in any conflict involving Iran, with consequences extending far beyond the battlefield.
The island serves as the country’s primary oil export terminal, handling the vast majority of its crude shipments.
As oil revenue remains a central pillar of Iran’s economy, significant damage to facilities on Kharg would severely restrict the government’s income, potentially undermining its ability to fund both military operations and domestic spending.
Such an attack would also carry a high risk of retaliation as Iran has always said it would respond forcefully, potentially targeting energy infrastructure across the region or disrupting shipping routes in the Persian Gulf.
