A child has died from what is believed to be a dog bite following an incident in a UK town. Cleveland Police were called to Hardale Drive, Dormanstown just after 1.30pm on Thursday, 9 April.
Officers were alerted due to concerns about a child. Upon reaching the scene, they found that the child had sadly passed away.
It’s believed the child’s death was caused by a dog bite. Armed officers were dispatched and one dog was put down at the scene, while another dog from the property has been seized by police, reports Teesside Live.
District Commander for Redcar and Cleveland, Emily Harrison, stated: “Understandably this is a distressing and tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the child’s family. There is a scene in place at the address while an investigation into the child’s death begins.
