Cremo’s Italian Bergamot cologne has been hailed as ‘one of the best’ by shoppers, with a 4.3-star rating and comparisons to luxury fragrances costing six times more.
Cremo has introduced a fresh fragrance to its collection, and it’s being hailed as ‘one of the best colognes’. The latest scent is Italian Bergamot Eau De Toilette, available exclusively in a 100ml bottle priced at £34.95.
This fragrance proves ideal for spring with its emphasis on a vibrant and crisp scent composition. It blends notes of Italian bergamot, neroli blossom and fresh vetiver to craft a fragrance ‘inspired by the elegance of the Italian Riviera.’
While not an identical note-for-note duplicate, the Cremo cologne does share a similar scent profile with YSL’s considerably pricier Le Vestiaire des Parfums Saharienne Eau de Parfum, which retails for £220 for a 75ml bottle.

Aqua Allegoria Forte Nerolia Vetiver by Guerlain also features the bergamot, neroli and vetiver foundation. That’s priced at £105 for a 75ml bottle, making Cremo’s offering appear rather exceptional value.
While Italian Bergamot hasn’t garnered any reviews on the UK website yet, across on the US platform, it boasts an average score of 4.3 out of five from more than 220 reviews. One customer commented: “One of the best colognes I have ever used. Light, pleasant and long-lasting without being overpowering. My new favourite,” reports the Mirror.

Another buyer commended its staying power throughout each day, noting: “Very nice smelling cologne that has a scent to last all day, which is what I want in a cologne.”
One fragrance enthusiast – who boasted 100 bottles in their collection – insisted this is their ultimate choice. They said: “I’m embarrassed to admit I have probably 100 colognes in my collection. From very expensive to ones under $30. But Cremo Italian Bergamot is my number one favourite. Can highly recommend. So fresh and clean. Please, Cremo, always keep this one on your offerings.”
Cremo’s Italian Bergamot has attracted a lot of praise with men who use it, with one delighted customer, E Pena, commenting: “Very fine fragrance, makes a great contrast with my high-end colognes. A lot of compliments about my smell left on the pillow.”
One buyer felt let down by its staying power, however, noting: “Great, bright scent. Longevity could be a bit better compared to other cremo scents, but it’s a good citrusy scent.”
Another adored it for regular wear but discovered it didn’t endure throughout the day. They said: “Cremo’s Italian Bergamot Spray Cologne has a nice, fresh citrus scent with a hint of vetiver. It’s great for everyday use, but the fragrance doesn’t last long enough for me to call it a standout.”
The manufacturer recommends applying a ‘small amount’ of the cologne to pulse points from a distance of three to six inches, and emphasises it works best on clean and dry skin. They further advise against rubbing the fragrance, as this can alter the scent.
For a more pronounced effect, they recommend reapplying during the day. For a subtler approach, they suggest it’s ideal to ‘spray into the air and walk through the mist’.
