Wetherspoons is poised to launch five fresh locations, with the precise opening dates for their high street arrivals now confirmed.

Among these new establishments is a venue at London Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 2. The Sir Frank Whittle is scheduled to welcome customers on July 14, right in the midst of peak holiday season.

A further location is being established at the University of Birmingham. Students on Edgbaston Park Road will gain access to a new destination for affordable beverages from May 26.

Come July 7, Guildford will witness a new Wetherspoons launch at Wates House, Surrey University, reports the Express. The establishment will be university-owned but operated under a Spoons franchise.

Wetherspoons is expanding internationally with confirmation that Barcelona Airport will receive not just one, but two new outlets.

The initial venue will be situated in Terminal 1, launching in September 2026. A second location will debut at Terminal 2 by January 2027.

The pubs, as yet unnamed, will have room for almost 600 customers, and will be operated by Ibersol Group, one of the largest franchised brand operators in Spanish and Portuguese travel.

The pubs will be open seven days a week from 5am to 11pm with food served at all times up to an hour before closing.

The menu will include many meals available in Wetherspoon pubs in the UK, including breakfast dishes, burgers and pizzas, as well as local dishes and will serve real ale.

Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin said: ” We are delighted to have secured two fantastic sites at Barcelona airport.
