Bereaved dad Jack Biscoe has begged police to put down the family dog he says mauled his 19-year-old daughter Jamie-Lea to death, and wants its two puppies destroyed too
Jack Biscoe, the devastated dad ofJamie-Lea, 19, his daughter who was mauled to death by her “loving” family dog, has begged police to destroy it, along with her two puppies. Jack, 37, reportedly pleaded with cops who seized the female blue-merle Lurcher-cross to put her to sleep immediately.
He told the Sun: “I just said to them ‘please just put her down’. I don’t want to see her ever again.
“I just don’t think that dog should live anymore.” Police reportedly confirmed on Sunday (April 12) that tests are underway to formally establish the dog’s breed, known as “Shy”.
They are also reportedly understood to be conducting forensic examinations to prove she carried out the fatal attack.
Jack further stated: “We know that she did. She was the one that was covered in blood and she attacked me.”
His other dogs Bella and Mouse, Shy’s 18-month-old pups, are not thought to have been involved in the attack which killed Jamie-Lea. But horse trainer Jack is also calling for them to be destroyed, the Sun reported.
He said: “Those dogs have seen too much. They need to be put down in my opinion.
“I don’t want them to live in this world now. Even though the youngsters didn’t do anything, they’ve seen too much and I don’t think they could ever be placed with a family again.
“They could never possibly be rehomed after that situation. I think the best thing for them would be to put them to sleep.”
Jack, who bought Shy as a puppy at seven weeks old, said there had been no indication the family dog was dangerous, as per the Sun. He said the pet had no history of biting or aggressive behaviour and described her as the “softest dog”.
While trying to revive his daughter, who had collapsed on the floor between his bed and bedside table, Jack was also attacked by Shy. She reportedly bit off part of his ear, which will require reconstructive surgery, and left puncture wounds in his arms.
The devastated dad added: “My daughter was not killed by an XL Bully, she was killed by a genuine family dog. I thought I could trust that dog with my life and it took my daughter’s life.
“She was my daughter’s best friend and she still killed her. I lost my entire life on Friday when my daughter was murdered by another member of my family.
“Witnessing the horror and destruction it has caused me, it’s not worth it. Treat them as dogs, give them their beds, be careful.”
Jamie-Lea Biscoe was fatally attacked by Shy, seven. Jack had found his teenage daughter on his bedroom floor with a bite wound to her neck.
Emergency services were called to the property in Leaden Roding, Essex, at around 10.45pm on Friday (April 10), but sadly Jamie-Lea was pronounced dead at the scene. Jack explained that he and his partner Steven Daniels had gone to KFC that evening, only to return and find Jamie-Lea on the floor, the Daily Star previously reported.
Jack attempted CPR on his daughter, but the dog then began to attack him, biting off his ear. Following Jamie-Lea’s death, Jack was arrested by Essex Police on suspicion of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury resulting in death.
He was released on bail on Saturday night (April 11).
