NEED TO KNOW: Cop Fired for Sending Raunchy Uniform Selfies to Partner

  • A Humberside Police officer has been sacked after sending semi-nude photos of herself in uniform to her partner.
  • PC Alisha Staves took the revealing selfies in September and November 2023, including one showing her wearing a stab-proof vest while partially naked. She sent them with messages including “Work boobies” and “Maybe Mrs officer can give you a helping hand”.
  • The images were discovered during an unrelated investigation in July 2025. One photo was taken while she was on duty in a police storeroom, showing her exposed breasts.
  • A disciplinary panel led by Chief Constable Chris Todd dismissed her from the force on Tuesday. Barrister Andrew Pickin said her behaviour was “of a sexual nature” and went “beyond poor judgment”.
  • He added: “There is little difficulty in concluding that this sort of deliberate and completely inappropriate behaviour is so serious as to justify dismissal.” The panel heard the photos were taken “for private use” and only sent to her then-partner.
  • Staves’ defence claimed she “felt pressured by her partner” to take the photos. Her representative Matthew Baron argued they were not widely distributed and said “no-one else has been targeted or affected by this”.
  • The officer was already subject to a written warning when the allegations came to light.
