A cluster of flickering UFOs was reportedly spotted near a US military which has for years been highlighted by conspiracists as a site of extra-terrestrial activity
Alien obsessives are on high alert after a cluster of flickering UFOs was reportedly spotted near a US military base which has for years been highlighted by conspiracists as a site of extra-terrestrial activity.
The group of unknown flying objects was filmed near Ohio’s Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, with footage appearing to show several glowing entities moving through the sky before separating on April 8.
Eyewitnesses described the lights, which appear to move in formation, as having “no sound, no standard navigation lights, movement unlike any known aircraft, drone swarm or satellite”, while others compared it to like “when parachuters have flares attached as they’re falling.”
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is often cited by conspiracists as the site of Hangar 18, a secret area of the base where the U.S. military allegedly stored and studied extra-terrestrial materials, including debris and bodies linked to the 1947 Roswell incident.
While the base does contain numerous real hangars used for aircraft maintenance and research, there is no credible evidence that a specific Hangar 18 exists for such purposes, and U.S. authorities have long denied the claims.
The sighting was filmed at Rainbow Lakes, a 60-acre recreation spot in Fairborn, about four miles from the base.
The sighting is not the first time that Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has made headlines of late, with the research base previously being led by former Major General William Neil McCasland, who went missing earlier this year.
The 68-year-old, who has unprecedented knowledge of UFO sightings, disappeared without a trace after leaving his house on foot. He left his mobile phone behind and is believed to have medical issues.
McCasland’s disappearance has raised serious concerns due to his potential knowledge of highly classified extra-terrestrial information.
Investigative journalist Ross Coulthart warned at the time of his disappearance that the situation amounts to a “grave national security crisis”. “This is a man with some of the most sensitive secrets of the United States in his head,” he said on his Reality Check podcast.
