Donald Trump’s posh Scottish golf resort has been invaded by eco-protesters who trolled the US President by planting a mini wind farm on his pristine turf. Early-bird activists from Greenpeace descended on the Trump Turnberry Golf Club in South Ayrshire at 6.30am on Monday to stage a cheeky renewable energy demo.

The group targeted the fourth hole green, installing six replica wind turbines right under the nose of the golf-loving billionaire. The stunt was designed to hit the Orange Manbaby where it hurts – his world-famous greens – following his long-standing and vocal hatred of windmills.

The protest comes after Trump took to his Truth Social platform to demand more fossil fuel extraction in the North Sea. In a characteristically loud post, he wrote: “Aberdeen should be booming. Norway sells its North Sea Oil to the U.K. at double the price.

“They are making a fortune. U.K., which is better situated on the North Sea for purposes of energy than Norway, should, DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!! It is absolutely crazy that they don’t… AND, NO MORE WINDMILLS!”

However, the activists didn’t stay to play and reportedly packed up their mock turbines as soon as real golfers approached to ensure no one’s Sunday round was ruined.

Greenpeace claims that Trump is out of touch with the local population, citing figures that 65 per cent of Scots actually favour renewable energy over his “drill, baby, drill” mantra.

Lily-Rose Ellis, a climate campaigner for Greenpeace, didn’t hold back on the golf puns while slamming the President’s energy policy.

She said: “ Donald Trump wants to keep us as lifetime members of his Gulf Club, where every time he starts an illegal war, bills go through the roof while his fossil fuel backers make billions.

“But we don’t need to stay stuck in his sand trap – the renewables Trump hates are the best insurance policy against the chaos he’s unleashed.

“Wind and solar farms built since the start of the Ukraine war have saved us seven million pounds every day since Trump attacked Iran and drove gas prices back up again.

“More clean energy that doesn’t rely on the Strait of Hormuz or Russian pipelines can save us money, boost our security and tackle climate change. It’s a hole in one.”

Trump has a history of beefing with the Scottish wind industry. He famously fought a losing legal battle with the Scottish Government to block an offshore wind farm that he claimed “spoiled” the view from his other course in Aberdeenshire.
