MS NOW host Lawrence O’Donnell on Wednesday tore into President Donald Trump for “accomplishing nothing” in what he described as the “non-negotiations” to end his war on Iran and slammed the MAGA leader for focusing on two different matters entirely.
The “Last Word” host began by noting that the ongoing conflict has now spanned more than 50 days and that despite the untold “explosions and death,” Trump has delivered “nothing” for the American people or the rest of the world except for “higher prices on everything.”

O’Donnell said, “And instead of trying to come up with ways to help Americans survive what he insists is only a temporary increase in the price of gas and other prices, Donald Trump spent the day on social media complaining about the United States Supreme Court.”
Trump decried the high court on his Truth Social platform Wednesday for ruling against most of his “emergency” tariffs, which O’Donnell noted is a power the U.S. Constitution grants solely to Congress, and for clearing a path for American businesses to receive refunds for the levies.
“Donald Trump has implicitly threatened businesses that apply for those refunds,” he said.
“And the biggest refunds of billions and billions of dollars are owed to companies like Walmart and Apple and Amazon, and yesterday Donald Trump said that he would be very happy if they did not apply for refunds,” O’Donnell continued.

The president said as much during an appearance Tuesday on “The Squawk Box.”
“His words were that he would ‘remember,’” O’Donnell said. “He’d ‘remember’ if those big companies do not ask for their refunds. That can be taken by executives at those companies as a presidential threat that Donald Trump will do something to harm them.”
O’Donnell noted that this isn’t the only distraction Trump is focused on amid the war in Iran, which has already cost at least 13 U.S. service members and more than 3,000 Iranians their lives, as he has also spent time sowing doubt in the integrity of American elections.
“At 1:34 p.m. today, while accomplishing nothing in the non-negotiations with Iran, Donald Trump announced the results of his investigation into last night’s election in Virginia, making it clear to the world and to the Iranian leadership what’s really on his mind,” said O’Donnell.
