A man has died after a crash in his health onboard a Cathay Pacific flight from Manchester to Hong Kong.
The 51-year-old man collapsed and lost consciousness after Flight CX216 had departed from Manchester for Hong Kong international airport on Friday morning.
Hong Kong police said they were called at 6.15am to reports of a passenger collapsing on the flight, reports the Hong Kong Free Press. Cabin crew are said to have alerted Hong Kong’s air traffic control centre, which notified emergency services.
Ambulances rushed to the tarmac and paramedics got onto the aircraft after it landed at 6.53am to attempt to resuscitate the man. However, he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, the local news outlet HK01 reported.
