A shocking revelation about Meghan Markle’s “As Ever” jam brand has been unveiled by royal biographer Tom Bowers.

The 44-year-old launched her lifestyle brand last April, as the company’s offers span from ornamental flower petals, wine to pancake mix. It was previously revealed the jam, which is marketed as a spread, was packaged 2,000 miles away from Meghan’s Montecito, California residence. Revealing a closely guarded secret about the product, Mr Bowers told the latest edition of Daily Expresso podcast the jam producers were bound by confidentiality regarding the manufacturing location.

Bowers explained: “I spent a lot of time and a lot of money trying to track down firstly, where the jam was made, and secondly, who produced the jars,” reports the Express.

“She is so careful about controlling the narrative that even the jam makers had to sign non-disclosure agreements [NDAs] to protect the secret of Meghan’s jam.”

According to a previous Daily Mail report, the fruit spread’s label provided no clues about its actual production location. One expert has described it as “purposefully vague.”

Specialists consulted by the publication suggest the spreads are mass-manufactured, potentially from a “co-packaging” facility.

The brand’s latest collection, a US Mother’s Day launch, has sparked fresh debate over Meghan’s choice to draw inspiration from her children.

The candles pay tribute to six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet. The “Signature Candle No. 604” takes inspiration from Lilibet’s birthday on 4 June. The second, dubbed the “Signature Candle No. 506,” is inspired by Archie’s birthday on 6 May. As displayed on the As Ever website, the descriptions reads: “Prince Archie of Sussex’s Birthdate” and “Princess Lilibet of Sussex’s Birthdate.”

The Daily Star previously reported the Duchess of Sussex claimed to be “the most trolled person in the entire world.”

Addressing a group of youngsters involved with mental health charity Batyr during her third day in Australia, Meghan stated social media firms were “not incentivised to stop.”

“And I can speak to that really personally, which is why I like to listen, because it rings true for me in a very real way,” she expressed.

“For now, 10 years, every day for 10 years, I have been bullied and attacked. And I was the most trolled person in the entire world.”

Speaking at Melbourne’s Swinburne University of Technology, the duchess continued: “Now, I’m still here.”

“And when I think of all of you and what you’re experiencing, I think so much of that is having to realise that you know that industry, that billion-dollar industry, that is completely anchored and predicated on cruelty to get clicks – that’s not going to change.

“So you have to be stronger than that.”
