Mikel Arteta could already be looking at summer signings

Arsenal’s mission couldn’t be much clearer as they seek to maintain their Premier League title pursuit on course. Whatever unfolds between now and the campaign’s conclusion, though, there’s bound to be considerable summer activity involving the North London outfit.

If Mikel Arteta’s squad secure victory in their remaining four fixtures, any points dropped by rivals Manchester City would guarantee the silverware arrives in North London, Arsenal resume league duties on Saturday against Fulham and could establish a six-point buffer.

Meanwhile, rumours persist regarding the destiny of current star Gabriel Jesus and a player whom the Gunners failed to secure last summer. Here are our latest updates from around the Emirates Stadium.

Former Juventus striker Fabrizio Ravanelli reckons Gabriel Jesus can provide the Italian giants with exactly what they require in attack. Juve have been connected with Barcelona veteran Robert Lewandowski but Ravanelli views Jesus as the superior option.

“I think the club should look to other attacking options rather than the 38-year-old Lewandowski,” Ravanelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I’d do anything to sign [Victor] Osimhen, even if it’s not easy because of certain clauses,” reports the Mirror.

“There are many strong strikers in Europe, starting with Gabriel Jesus, who would be worthy of a place at Juventus even after a few injuries. There are other young players, and the scouts must identify the right profile who can win something important in the future.”

Evan Ndicka may secure Premier League switch

Twelve months after rejecting Arsenal, Evan Ndicka could be heading to the Premier League. The Ivorian centre-half chose to remain at Roma instead of relocating to North London, with the Gunners subsequently adding Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera to their defensive ranks.

While Arsenal appear unlikely to return for the defender, Premier League rivals Bournemouth are allegedly keen. The Cherries are poised to lose Marcos Senesi when his deal runs out and incoming boss Marco Rose is well acquainted with Ndicka’s abilities from his spell in the Bundesliga.

As per 225 Foot, the 26 year old defender is high on Rose’s wishlist when he takes over from Andoni Iraola. However, it’s reported that Roma are seeking a fee in the ballpark of £35million.
