Michael van Gerwen was seemingly dragged into a physical altercation while the Dutchman was at a King’s Night party when an individual threw a punch at the star
Michael van Gerwen was involved in a scuffle at a party in his native Netherlands, with the Dutchman seemingly punched during the argument.
Van Gerwen, 37, can be seen in footage, which was shared in the Dutch media, surrounded by a group of individuals – including what appears to be security guards. However, he is drawn into an altercation with another individual.
The pair were at a King’s Night party in Den Bosch on the eve of a Dutch national holiday. Their argument turns physical when the man appears to throw a punch at Mighty Mike, before he is dragged away.

Van Gerwen can then be seen pursuing the man. It’s not the first time Van Gerwen has been involved in a physical altercation, and last year, he was caught up in a kebab shop brawl.
Speaking about the brawl, he told Darts News: “After an enjoyable night out, we wanted to grab something to eat, and unfortunately I ended up in a situation you’d rather avoid.
“The man came at me from the kitchen, not the other way round, following a verbal exchange. People are making it sound more dramatic than it actually was, which is a shame.
“As you can see, people stepped in straight away and the situation was resolved. I even spoke with the man’s nephew afterwards, and we cleared the air before we left.”
Van Gerwen is due to be back in action on Thursday evening as the Premier League lands in Aberdeen.
He faces a tough task in the quarter-final with a draw against Luke Humphries.
The World No.2 is looking for his first nightly win: “Maybe it’s going to be one of those years that I’m going to have to fight it out hard and scrape through in the end,” Humphries admitted.
“I’m going to keep trying, keep pushing, and give it everything that I’ve got.”
