SIMON LAMBERT: The Renters’ Rights Act may massively backfire and depart much less properties open for tenants

The Renters’ Rights Act has come into force, giving tenants the biggest upgrade to their rights in a generation and landlords a major headache.

While it should be beneficial to tenants in the short-term, it is highly controversial, and some property experts warn that it could backfire and ultimately lead to higher costs and less homes to rent over the long-term.
