Two people have been killed and two others severely injured after a car smashed into a crowd in a German city centre.
The car is said to have ploughed into a crowd of people in the centre of the eastern German city of Leipzig, according to local broadcaster MDR.
Ambulances, police cars, fire engines and an emergency helicopter have been sent to the incident which happened on Grimmaische Street, a shopping street that connects several landmarks with Leipzig’s market square.
Police have not released further details into the incident but have called the scene a “dynamic situation”.
