But back to the Bosch EasyImpact 18V-38 Cordless Combi Drill, which is an Amazon’s Choice product. One said: “As someone completely new to DIY, I wanted something simple, reliable, and not too intimidating – and this drill was exactly that. It’s my first drill, and I found it really easy to get started with.”

Another said: “A very good hammer drill with the convenience of a cordless design, ideal for quick fixes and DIY around the house. My old corded Makita drills had a tendency to crack bricks, but this Bosch drills through cleanly without breaking them. It’s a great addition to my DeWalt set, which was missing a hammer drill, and I’m glad to have this one in my collection.”

A third said: “It doesn’t have the strongest power compared to more expensive models. But, for affordability, it’s a great choice and has all you really need for basic home improvement. I would recommend this product to anybody looking for their first drill for small projects.”

Others deducted stars, with one saying: “Not powerful to use as a drill for walls – I had a cheaper one before and (it) was better.”
