Emergency services were called to Burghmuir Retail Park in Stirling on Saturday evening after two men suffered serious stab wounds. Police are treating the attack as attempted murder
Two men were rushed to hospital with stab wounds following an attack that police have classified as attempted murder.
Detectives are investigating after the men, aged 38 and 46, sustained serious injuries during the incident in Stirling on Saturday evening. Emergency services were called to outside a unit in the Burghmuir Retail Park, off Burghmuir Road, at about 7.15pm.
The wounded men were transported to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment for their injuries, which were described as serious but were not thought to be life-threatening. Police are treating the incident as attempted murder, confirmed Detective Chief Inspector Scott Roxburgh.
He said: “Our inquiries to establish what happened are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information which may help to get in touch. As well as the location at the retail park, we are also carrying out inquiries at nearby Colquhoun Street.
“I would ask anyone who have witnessed any disturbance in these areas on Saturday evening, or who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage, to get in touch.”

It comes after the individual at the heart of a murder investigation in Moss Side has been identified by devastated friends as Dre Brown.
Police were called to Raby Street around 11pm on Friday (May 8) following reports of a stabbing. A man in his 30s was rushed to hospital, where he tragically passed away.
Friends have since identified the man as Dre Brown. It is understood that his full first name was Adrian. Mr Brown was a musician, known by the stage name StanaMan. He is believed to have had three children. Tributes are pouring in on social media. One friend said: “RIP, Dre. You will be sadly missed. Gone far too soon. You were such a kind soul and amazing father.”
Another person described him as a ‘good kid’. A mate wrote: “Rest in peace, Dre”. Natalie Brownlie posted: “RIP Dre.” Jamie Whitehead said: “R.I.P Dre you was a good kid had a few laffs with you in the Claremont rest easy mate.”
Rheannee Blake posted: “Can’t believe it man he always had a smile on his face r.i.p stana man.” Marrisa Leigh posted: “Waking up to this news this morning honestly am speechless. You never really know how much life we have left. From God we came, and to Him we shall return. Rest easy. Dre Brown.”
David Waite said: “Rest in peace Dre. Another life taken too soon.” Sean Daly said: “Awww RIP Kidda, gonna miss that smile.”
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed the arrest of an 18-year-old man following the incident. He was being interrogated by detectives on Saturday after being taken into custody on suspicion of murder.
