An Arsenal fan was allegedly thrown down a flight of stairs in the home end during the Gunners’ controversial 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday.
Leandro Trossard’s 83rd minute strike put one hand of the title for Mikel Arteta’s side – in a clash that was overshadowed by VAR’s decision to rule out Callum Wilson’s 90th minute equaliser due to a foul on David Raya.
And as 3,000 Arsenal fans celebrated taking a major step towards a first Premier League title in over two decades – some cheeky Gunners fans had allegedly made their way into the home end for the clash.

However, footage of one Arsenal fan went viral on social media as he was seemingly thrown down a flight of stairs in the upper tiers of the London Stadium.
In the clip, the Arsenal fan can be seen trying to run down the stairs and out of the stadium – with angry Hammers fans chasing him. He then stumbles and stars to fall down the bottom half of the stairs.
Football grounds have strict rules forbidding the purchasing of tickets in opposing ends of stadiums – due to the increased threat of violence among fans.
There were four arrests on Sunday, with the police confirming in a statement: “Met officers arrested four people at the London Stadium on Sunday, 10 May following the fixture between West Ham United and Arsenal.
“Two men – aged 48 and 36 – were arrested on suspicion of affray and assault, while one teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assault.
“All were taken into custody where they remain. Police continue to work with the football club while enquiries into the respective incidents continue.
“Another man, aged 31, was arrested for possession of a Class B substance.”
