A section of the M60 motorway is partially closed this morning due to a car fire. Images show the vehicle ablaze near the Whitefield exit this morning (Monday, May 11).

Two lanes have been cordoned off on the clockwise side of the motorway between junction 16 for Pendlebury and junction 17 for Prestwich and Whitefield. Traffic is ‘very slow’ leading up to the incident, as reported by traffic alert service Inrix. Motorway cameras depict queues forming.
