Sir David and Victoria Beckham’s net worth is only surpassed by Bernie Ecclestone among the globe’s richest sports figures.

Their £1.185billion fortune is just under half of the Formula One Group founder’s £2billion, but it easily outstrips Barry and Eddie Hearn. Sir David amassed hundreds of millions both on and off the pitch during his two-decade-long playing career, thanks to partnerships with brands like Adidas and HandM.

These same commercial deals continue to bring in revenue several years after he hung up his boots. Football still plays a significant role in Sir David’s growing business portfolio. He co-owns two clubs, Inter Miami and Salford City.

Keeping an option from his LA Galaxy contract to purchase a Major League Soccer expansion team for £18.5million has turned out to be a highly lucrative move. Eight years after co-founding the club, they are now valued at around £900 million.

Around the same time, he initially acquired a 10% stake in Salford. Last summer, Sir David led a takeover of the League Two club alongside Gary Neville, buying out the rest of the Class of ’92.

However, it’s not just football that has seen his rake in the cash. The documentary Beckham’s production studio made about his life proved hugely successful worldwide on Netflix. And they also made a docuseries about Victoria.

The former singer first made her fortune as a member of the Spice Girls before becoming a fashion designer. She has her own fashion label, which has recently become profitable after years of rising debts and losses.

Victoria also has a beauty brand, initially focusing on eye makeup before releasing a line of lip products. She has a presence in department stores across France and the United Kingdom.

The Beckhams are not the only footballing family to make it onto this latest rich list. Harry Kane sneaks into the top ten with a net worth of £110million, tied with Sir Andy Murray.

Behind the Hearns in fourth is Gymshark co-founder Ben Francis on £800million, ahead of fellow sportswear founders Tom and Phil Beahon in sixth on £350million.

Sir Lewis Hamilton is another F1 driver to feature, with a wealth of £435 million.
