The England manager doppelganger Adam Fisher says he will be inundated with work if the Three Lions go all the way in the summer.
A dad-of-two is hoping for Three Lions success at the World Cup because he’s a Thomas Tuchel lookalike. Adam Fisher says he will be inundated with work if England go all the way in the summer.
He has had people double-taking at him for five years thinking he is the German gaffer. Adam, 49, has had drinkers thinking he is Tuchel i n a pub in his hometown.
He’s also had others spotting the comparison when he is on a train and when going to the horse-racing. Tuchel doppelganger Adam even gets comments when he’s coaching his son’s football team and playing five-a-side with his mates.
He has done some lookalike work already after signing up with an agency. But if Harry Kane and Co go all the way in the USA, Canada and Mexico this summer even more work will come in.
Adam, of Bracknell, Berks said: “I’ve had a few occasions where people actually thought I was him.
“But others saying they had to do a double take due to the similarity.
“The better England do, the more chances there is of lookalike work coming up.
“So hopefully they do do well, they have got a good chance
“If England won the World Cup I could get work for life.
“He has signed a new contact so hopefully we will have more than one go at it at the next Euros too.
“It’s not going to get any more high profile than managing England really.”
Communications consultant Adam said the comments started during the Covid 19 lockdown when Tuchel, 52 – who has also coached at PSG and Bayern Munich – was the Chelsea manager in 2021.
“That was the first time it had ever been said,” he added.
“My neighbour said ‘Ah you look like the Chelsea manager.’
“Being lockdown at the time, you didn’t really go out and about and see many people, so it was just my neighbour.
“Chelsea go through managers pretty regularly so that quickly died its death.”
Avid Liverpool fan Adam said: “Then a few more people said that I look like him and then it
started happening more frequently.
“When he got appointed England manager, the references started picking up even more,
“I’ve had it in pubs, on the train, at horse-racing.
“I was at Ascot once and there was this steward who kept going on about it
“I coach football as well, so standing on the sidelines I’ve had a few references to it there as well.
“The other place is playing five-a-side, people watching saying ‘Give it to Tuchel’.”
Adam added” “I just wondered if there was any way I could do with it.”
He has been on the books at Lookalikes Talent Agency, in Eastbourne, East Sussex since February.
Adam hopes to get up to £500 a go doing social media videos, photoshoots, and events.
“I quite often wear a cap which is part of it, as Tuchel does to,” he added.
“The fact he wears one adds to the look.”
But he joked: “I don’t do a German accent or speak any German.
“I don’t want to get cancelled before I start.
“My son is football mad, he plays and watches it all the time, he has heard the comparisons
“I don’t think my daughter would know who Thomas Tuchel is.”
