Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions for the first time since 2004, and Bukayo Saka has sent a message to rival fans from Man Utd, Tottenham and Liverpool who mocked the Gunners in recent years
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has delivered a savage dig to rival supporters following years of ridicule over the Gunners’ Premier League failings.
In footage released by TNT Sports, Saka fired back at fans from Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Liverpool who had previously taunted Arsenal throughout their journey under Mikel Arteta.
The England winger acknowledged there had been periods when opposing supporters “were laughing” at Arsenal’s championship aspirations.
However, he declared, “they’re not laughing anymore,” in a clip that has rapidly spread across social media.
The 24-year-old has been instrumental in the team’s revival under Arteta, helping elevate the club from top-four contenders into serious challengers for both the Premier League and Champions League.
Arsenal supporters poured onto the streets surrounding the Emirates Stadium in euphoric celebrations after the Gunners secured the Premier League crown following Manchester City’s stunning 1:0 loss to Bournemouth.
Fans gathered in their thousands outside the venue as word spread that Pep Guardiola’s team had stumbled on the south coast, gifting Arteta’s squad the title in spectacular circumstances.
Crimson smoke bombs lit up North London while supporters scaled bus shelters, belted out club anthems and brandished scarves as the festivities continued deep into the evening.
In a clip shared across Arsenal’s social media platforms, Arteta declared: “We made history again, together. I cannot be happier, prouder for everybody that is involved in this football club. Let’s enjoy the moment.”
The club’s last title-winning manager prior to Arteta, the legendary Arsene Wenger, remarked in the same footage: “You did it. Champions go on, when others stop.
“This is your time. Now, go on and enjoy every moment.”
