An adult star and her boyfriend have responded to the parallels between their lives and Euphoria’s Nate Jacobs and Cassie Howard. Chelsea Janks, from Nottingham, has become a sought-after adult content creator for the last three years.

Despite making explicit content for a largely male audience, Chelsea’s biggest supporter is her long-time partner, Will Walters. And her work now brings in a five-figure monthly income, which both Chelsea and Will enjoy.

Will, who owns his own barbershop, has encouraged Chelsea to pursue a career on a popular adult content platform. “I quite like it to be honest because it’s almost like a compliment, you know, if other people want what you’ve got and they can’t have it because I always think looking is one thing but no one can touch,” Will exclusively told the Daily Star.

Will, who has worked as a barber for a decade, admitted that he was “pretty game” for Chelsea to become an adult content creator. “Chelsea’s Instagram was already provocative,” Will resonated.

“Not a lot of girls were doing pictures and underwear.” Chelsea made around £2,000 a month at her previous job, working at Audi.

Thanks to her new unconventional career, the couple were able to renovate their home. While the couple acknowledged the similarities between themselves and the fictional Euphoria characters, with Nate living off his wife Cassie’s adult content fortune, they emphasised some important differences.

“I’ve been recently [watching] Euphoria, there was the baby niche and things like that. Like that’s just weird,” Chelsea said of the type of content she does not want to make.

“I’m not going to do anything weird like that,” she added. And unlike Nate, Will has clear boundaries, as when asked if he would be ok with Chelsea making content with other men for more money, he responded “no”.

Will further said: “I think she could get with other girls. Like that wouldn’t bother me at all.

“I’d quite like that. But then with lads, no, [it’s not] happening.” The couple have no problem defying the societal expectations that a man has to provide for his female partner.

“I don’t see why you’d feel emasculated,” Will said. “I just think if anybody in the relationship can get money in, get as much as you can.

“It’s going to help us both. Whether I do it or whether she does it, like you’re not harming me.

“Get as much as we can. Like as long as no one’s being harmed.

“As long as you can use it in the right way, I do not care. If she could earn 10 times more than me, I’d be buzzing.”

This mindset might remind Euphoria fans of Nate, who becomes extremely encouraging of Cassie making money off explicit content while he struggles with his own career. But for Will, it is important to keep his own professional life going.

He explained: “The thing is like what happens later down the line if say me and Chelsea broke up or something happened? You’ve got to have your own s*** going on.

“Same with her as well. With her doing [her adult content platform] is really really good now, but who’s to say in five years something could happen where it falls off the planet or they ban it or something?

“She’s got to have something. You’ve always got to have a plan B as well.”

Chelsea stated that her content was rather explicit, however, it does not ignite jealousy in her relationship, as Will explained: “If Chelsea was going out or speaking to other lads or making me feel slightly insecure, I’d probably be very different about it. Chelsea makes me feel really secure, so it doesn’t really bother me at all.”

Chelsea proudly mentioned their decade-long relationship, in which both party grew up together. But marriage isn’t part of their plan just yet.

“I want to be engaged and get married, but I feel like […] if it’s not broken, it doesn’t need fixing. Like it’s not going to change,” Chelsea said.
