Former Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Germany forward Lukas Podolski has announced his retirement from football. Podolski will bring down the curtain on his professional career this summer.

The forward was a 2014 World Cup winner with Germany after beginning his career with Cologne in 2003. He went on to play for Bayern Munich, where he won the Bundesliga title and the DFB Cup in 2008, scoring 15 goals in 71 league appearances for the club.
