West Ham, Wolves and Burnley have been relegated from the Premier League, opening the door for Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal to snap up seven top stars on the cheap
Premier League clubs including giants Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal will be eyeing the recently relegated teams for potential bargains in the summer transfer window.
West Ham United, who failed to avoid relegation on the final day, will be joining Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship next season. The trio of clubs will likely need to cut costs as they grapple with life outside the Premier League.
Selling their star players could provide a financial boost as these relegated sides aim to mount promotion campaigns. On the flip side, managers like Michael Carrick, Arne Slot and Mikel Arteta may view the relegated teams’ misfortune as an opportunity.

As these Champions League sides gear up for another hectic summer, there could be opportunities to secure several talented players at reduced prices following their drop into the Championship.
Despite their teams’ failure to stay up, seven potential targets, collectively valued at £238m, have proven their worth in the Premier League and would bolster any squad at the top end of the table, reports the Mirror.
Here, Daily Star Sport examines which relegated stars could be on the radar of clubs like United, Liverpool and Arsenal this summer.
Jarrod Bowen
The West Ham United skipper is the most obvious candidate on this list. Jarrod Bowen has already been touted for moves to United and Liverpool as he considers his future options.
The 29-year-old netted nine times and provided 11 assists in the Premier League but couldn’t prevent the Hammers from dropping into the relegation zone.
His deal extends until 2030, meaning it would probably require a substantial transfer fee to secure his services. Nevertheless, the Guardian has suggested that the Hammers must generate over £100m this summer, with Bowen amongst those drawing attention.
After West Ham’s demotion, Bowen delivered a determined statement to Sky Sports: “There’s going to be rumours, there’s going to be talk. Ultimately, what I see is getting this club back in the Premier League because that is where it deserves to be.”
Mateus Fernandes
Mateus Fernandes represents another West Ham star who has been connected with a major move.
Arsenal and United are reportedly keen on the 21-year-old midfielder, who arrived at the Hammers for £38m from Southampton last summer.
Crysencio Summerville
The Dutch winger rounds off the West Ham trio who could assist the club in raising over £100m through player departures.
Crysencio Summerville found the net regularly at the beginning of the campaign and finished with nine goal contributions. The 24-year-old might emerge as an alternative target for Liverpool or United should they pursue left wingers this summer.
Joao Gomes
Wolves midfielder Joao Gomes is amongst numerous Premier League talents on Manchester United’s shortlist. Michael Carrick’s team are hunting for Casemiro’s replacement and aim to bring in at least two midfielders during the forthcoming window.
It was previously reported that Wolves priced the 25-year-old at £43m but relegation could modify that valuation. Nevertheless, any clubs hoping to secure Gomes may need to act swiftly following reports he is nearing a switch to Atletico Madrid.
Andre
Andre was formerly a target for Liverpool and has subsequently been mooted as Casemiro’s potential heir at United.
The 24-year-old was valued at £35m but has effectively ended transfer rumours by recently penning a fresh four-year contract with Wolves.
Mateus Mane
Mateus Mane emerged as a standout performer in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Wolves.
The 18-year-old midfielder shone throughout his 27 league outings, netting three times and contributing two assists.
A provisional £50m price tag has previously been floated as he remains linked with a departure from Molineux.
Zian Flemming
A somewhat more unconventional choice.
The 27-year-old Dutch striker, who is presently valued at approximately £10m by Transfermarkt, bagged 11 goals for Burnley in his debut Premier League season and could offer worth as a reserve number nine.
