Numerous high-profile female inmates are being held at HMP Bronzefield prison as the glam X-Factor finalist Gabrielle Carrington accused of killing a another influencer is now being held at the site
The X-Factor finalist who is accused of killing a glam beauty influencer in a horrific car ramming attack is currently being held in the same “cushy” monster mansion prison as Lucy Letby and other prolific female criminals.
Gabrielle Carrington, 29, is in custody concerning the death of the beauty influencer Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, in a fatal car ramming in Soho, London. Carrington is currently on an induction at a privately run prison HMP Bronzefield in Surrey.
The detainee who was an X-Factor 2013 finalist is expected to move into the same wing housing the prolific female killers such as aristocrat Marten – found guilty of the manslaughter of her own child – and infamous serial baby-killing nurse Lucy Letby.
A source speaking to the Sun has said the disgraced glam influencer is “lucky” to be in Bronzefield as she could have been the target of prison attacks if she was at a different site. Despite housing some of the UK’s worst criminals HMP Bronzefield offers inmates a number of different actives such as opera workshops, beauty courses and chess clubs.
“She is very lucky to have been put in Bronzefield as it is pretty cushy compared to other prisons and inmates there are better protected. There are loads of activities laid on for them and women’s prisons are better-resourced than male prisons.”
“Carrington is on induction but is set to go into Unit 4, where Letby, Constance and others are held after her next appearance. That is for her own protection and is a unit with more vulnerable women in there. It is often used as a place of safety for high-profile inmates.”
“Carrington would be a target on other units or at other prisons but will be with women who are far less likely to attack her. There will be a lot of jealousy towards her because of her fame, wealth, looks and social media profile.
“She has been a model prisoner since arriving, and has caused no problems for the staff. She has kept her head down and engaged with staff – and definitely hasn’t acted like a diva.”
The disgraced X-Factor star appeared in court charged with attempted murder, GBH with intent, ABH and drink-driving.
The woman’s charge are to be upgraded after the victim of the incident Klaudia, known online as Klaudia Glam, died six days after the ordeal. The shocking incident occurred outside the Inca nightclub at 4.30am on Sunday April 19.
The development follows reports child killer Lucy Letby fears she could be murdered or suffer life-threatening injuries inside prison. Despite being a convicted serial killer the woman believes she now has a target on her back following the murders of high profile prisoners in male jails, such as the death of Ian Huntley.
Although Letby is surrounded by child killers and abusers, she is still regarded as a high-risk inmate. The last thing the prison wants is for her to be killed or seriously injured, as it would represent a major security failure. Some prisoners are said to sympathise with her insistence that she has been wrongly convicted, while others reportedly view her as quiet, polite and withdrawn in custody.
A spokesperson for Sodexo, which runs Bronzefield, said: “We cannot comment on individuals.”
