COMICAL POINT (7.15, nap) can give punters the last laugh in the day’s most valuable prize at Windsor this evening.

The son of Blue Point followed victory on his juvenile debut at Salisbury last term with a decent effort in the Group Two Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, when a four-length fifth behind Charles Darwin.

Runs in the July Stakes and Gimcrack at York proved too hot to handle but Andrew Balding’s charge performed admirably when third in a Listed event at York behind Division, who was second to the exciting Venetian Sun at Haydock last week.

Handicaps now look his bag, a fine third to Ten Carat Harry at Newmarket 30 days ago over today’s trip of six furlongs being a case in point.

The Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap looks the right level for a second success.

In the Don & Low Champions Cup 2026 Handicap over an extended 1m3f Tony Carroll’s admirable campaigner MOON OVER THE SEA (7.45, trb) is taken to score a course and distance double, after victory at the track early last month.

The seven-year-old rarely runs a bad race, and arrives on the back of a top-weight-carrying runner-up slot at Leicester, when forced to switch to make his challenge.

At Newbury, PERSONAL BEST (4.35) is another who won on her debut as a two-year-old, before scoring again last term at Ffos Las.

Jonathan Portman’s consistent fillyshould have come on a ton following her seasonal return at Nottingham last month. This two-mile test should suit her.

The West Courth Retreat Supports Heros Charity Handicap over 1m2f looks a competitive affair, with course winner TWISTING PHYSICS (5.10, nb) getting the vote.

The five-year-old did well to be fifth last time from a bad draw at Newmarket, and comes here with a tongue strap on a good mark.

At Lingfield Park, BUY THE DIP (2.07) can bounce back after struggling to make an impact in a more competitive affair at the Surrey track 20 days ago, having had a career-best victory over course and distance prior to that.

Marco Botti’s ASTROLOGICAL (3.17) has only run twice, winning well at Wolverhampton in April, and the three-year-old has a great chance to follow up in his first handicap.

THAPA VC (6.00) has Oisin Murphy in the saddle at Wolverhampton, where the veteran can add a fifth course and distance win.
