Ellie Crampsie, 23, was jailed after admitting to carrying 17kg of cannabis in a suitcase, but the Glasgow influencer was posting on Instagram and attending boxing events just days before
An influencer jailed for smuggling £150,000 worth of cannabis was sharing posts on social media days before. She offered followers a peek into her luxurious lifestyle seemingly without a care in the world.
But now, Ellie Crampsie has been locked up for 16 months after pleading guilty to transporting 17kg of the Class B substance in her luggage. The 23-year-old was sentenced following her attempt to smuggle the drugs back to Edinburgh Airport from Thailand, according to NeedToKnow.
Despite facing Edinburgh Sheriff Court, the influencer from Broomhouse, Glasgow, was sharing content on social media in the days leading up to her appearance. Posts she shared included being “back in the hot seat” with a makeup artist.
She subsequently shared the glamorous photographs on her Instagram profile after her appointment with the artist based at The Doll House, Glasgow.
Two days before this session, the influencer also seemed to attend a boxing match. Despite her impending court appearance, she struck poses while modelling the HyperX Fightwear clothing range.
The brand, which has been sported by fighters including Darren Till, is the first official bare knuckle fightwear label. She is thought to have participated in a bare knuckle boxing event held at Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, Scotland, on April 11.
The upload included a link to the Northeast Ringgirls page.
The influencer responded to the company saying: “Had the best time, thank you babe.”
A month before her sentencing, she wowed her followers with a bikini photograph. The influencer also headed directly to the “beer garden” the moment sunshine appeared in her local area.
She stated: “Tiny bit of sun in Glasgow means beer garden time.”
