The Met Office forecasts temperatures could reach 30C across southern Englan with weather maps showing 16 counties expected to experience 28C or higher as a new heat surge arrives in the UK
The UK will be hit with more scorching weather as another heatwave could hit parts of the UK next week.
Following last weeks boiling weather temperatures across the country the mercury has now dropped down to around the average for this time of year. However it may not be long before the temperatures soars back to 30C in certain areas of the UK.
The Met Office states temps are to reach 19C to 22C nationwide this week and add tomorrow may deliver thunder and torrential downpours. Nevertheless the GFS weather model indicates these conditions won’t persist for much longer, with the mercury climbing to 30C again as soon as June 11. Weather charts reveal these peaks arriving in the south-east, around London, at roughly 6pm.
Comparable highs might hit the south-east on June 15, the model reveals, with peaks of 28C potentially stretching as far north as Yorkshire. June 16 could deliver 30C highs in the south-east once again, with temperatures in the mid-to-high-20s anticipated right across the UK.
Temperature charts for this timeframe display zones of deep red in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This signals where the mercury should climb above the seasonal norm, reports the Mirror.
Overall, the charts reveal 16 counties could experience temperatures of 28C or higher across the three days.

Met Office weather forecast for June has stated that temperatures could become “hot” in certain areas before this month concludes. Nevertheless, the national weather service also cautioned thunderstorms could also be on the horizon.
The Met forecast for June 16 to 30 states: “The start of the period is likely to be relatively settled, with high pressure in the vicinity of the UK bringing drier conditions to most parts of the UK.
“However some showers or spells of rain are still possible. Winds will mostly be light with temperatures probably above normal. Towards the end of June, low pressure may begin to have more of an influence, especially across the south where heavy showers and thunderstorms become more probable. It may also become hot in parts of the south.”
The Met has also indicated that a significantly hotter than normal period through to early August is eight times more probable than much cooler than average conditions.
The Met Office forecast through to early August stated: “There is an increase chance of warm conditions and heatwaves.”
