West Ham United majority owner David Sullivan has resigned from his role at the East London club after their relegation from the Premier League to the Championship
West Ham United have announced that David Sullivan has stepped down from his position as their joint-chair.
Sullivan, 77, is also resigning as a director of the club and their parent entity, WH Holding Limited, but still owns 38.8% of West Ham. He is the majority owner, with Daniel Kretinsky and Vanessa Gold also holding significant stakes.
Gold is now the sole chair, having assumed the role after her father, David, died in January 2023. Interim chief executive Karim Virani will continue to lead day-to-day operations at the club and report to the board of directors after Sullivan’s announced departure.
