Former Miss BumBum winner Rosana Ferreira has revealed she completely ditched sex and dating for a surprising reason. The 38-year-old Brazilian beauty went celibate during a gruelling fitness drive that helped her drop nearly two stone (22lbs) in weight.

Rosana, who won the inaugural edition of Brazil’s iconic, racy rear-end pageant back in 2011, admitted she had to freeze her love life after realising romance was ruining her body goals.

The influencer, originally from Espirito Santo in Brazil but now living in Madrid, Spain, overhauled her lifestyle with a strict diet, gruelling daily workouts and a blanket ban on social invitations. She confessed that seemingly innocent date nights were actually sabotaging her hard work.

Rosana said: “I realised dates were pulling me away from my routine, my diet and even the schedule I had carefully planned for myself.

“One dinner would turn into dessert, dessert would turn into skipping a workout and, before I knew it, I was completely off track. At some point, I decided to focus on myself and on the results I wanted to achieve.”

The stunner insists the period of celibacy happened naturally as she dialled up the intensity of her workouts. Instead of a dramatic vow of chastity, dating simply took a backseat.

She said: “I was so focused on losing weight and feeling good about my body again that I stopped saying yes to a lot of things. It wasn’t really about sex. It was about staying committed to the plan I had created for myself.”

After months of pure discipline, Rosana successfully shed 22 pounds and reclaimed her jaw-dropping physique.

While some pals thought her extreme ban on bedroom antics was a bit too far, the model insists she has no regrets.

She said: “A lot of people thought it was extreme when I talked about it, but it worked for me at that moment in my life. It wasn’t suffering and it wasn’t a sacrifice.

“I was simply determined to get back into shape. Maybe I’ll never do it again, but at that time it was exactly what I needed.”

Since shooting to fame in the country’s most famous cheeky competition, Rosana has built a massive career online, boasting more than 150,000 followers on Instagram.

And she’s no stranger to extreme measures when it comes to her famous assets. Rosana previously revealed that she actually gets Botox injections in her buttocks to stop her cheeks from sweating during heavy gym sessions.
