Sometimes there’s nothing better than watching your favourite TV series, movies or sports matches on the big screen – and ahead of the 2026 World Cup this week, shoppers can watch kickoffs on their own cinema-like screen. The Wielio 2026 New Smart Projector is currently discounted on Amazon, costing £89.99, down from £179.99.

Upgraded with the latest Android 14 smart system, this projector supports direct one-click app downloads and smooth online streaming, the brand says. It comes with a built-in exclusive App Store, requiring no extra phones, laptops or streaming devices.

Users can instantly access mainstream streaming platforms, including YouTube and Prime Video, unlocking more than one million FHD high-definition video resources. This means people can convert any indoor or outdoor space into a private home cinema.

It is equipped with dual upgraded WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 technology, and it can support one-click wireless screen mirroring for phones, tablets and other devices. Plus, this compact projector is said to flexibly adapt to walls, projection screens and spaces of different sizes, and it has a 360° adjustable bracket to work with different angles.

As an alternative, shoppers could grab this Acer AOPEN QH15s Portable Projector in the colour white from Argos for £99.99. This features an HD resolution, a maximum projected image size of 100 inches and a 3-watt speaker, the site says.

At Currys, there’s the Philips NeoPix 130 Smart HD Ready Home Cinema Projector in the colour ‘arctic white’ for a higher price of £159. This displays a screen size of up to 70″, and the Smart OS has streaming apps like Disney+ and Netflix pre-installed.

The Wielio 2026 New Smart Projector from Amazon has received an overall average rating of 4.5 out of five stars. One person gave a five-star review, titling it: “Transformed My Bedroom into a Private Cinema – Absolutely Love It!!”

They continued: “One of my favourite experiences was curling up in bed and projecting a movie onto the ceiling using the 120° adjustable stand. It felt like a luxury theatre experience without leaving my room. The auto keystone correction worked flawlessly, even at odd angles, and the zoom feature helped me fit the screen perfectly to my space… It’s perfect for weekend movie marathons, live sports, or even using fitness apps in the morning.”

Another person wrote: “Whether we’re watching movies, sports, or playing games, the experience with a big screen is fantastic. It has excellent brightness for a projector, delivering clear images and smooth video playback. With the 5G Wi-Fi, the connection is stable, and we haven’t experienced any disconnections while streaming videos.

“What’s even more convenient is its small size, making it easy to move to the bedroom or use outdoors. That’s super convenient. I’ll share more about my experience with it in future.”

While a third person said, “Honestly, didn’t expect much for the price, but this little projector is brilliant. Set-up took minutes, the apps run smoothly, and phone mirroring works without any fuss.

“Picture quality is sharp, colours pop, and it’s bright enough even in the day with curtains drawn. At night it feels like a mini cinema.”

Others deducted a star, with one saying as part of a longer review: “If using indoors, it would be a good little projector, but not suitable for outside use until it gets dark. I returned the projector and replaced it with something with a higher ANSI brightness value.”

Someone else said: “The unit is ok, but it does have issues with certain apps. For example, when playing content from Disney+, the video appears too dark. I have found no way to adjust this. In fact, we have reverted to our previous projector because of this issue. For the price we paid for the unit, I think that it should have video adjustment settings built in to allow gamma control etc. But alas, not so.”
