After a close-up snap of Trump’s hand was posted to X (formerly Twitter), it went viral within minutes, with internet sleuths frantically trying to figure out what was wrong with his skin.
It isn’t the first time the Orange Manbaby’s appearance has come under the microscope this week. Just days ago, health fears erupted after critics claimed he “couldn’t walk in a straight line.”
The latest frenzy kicked off when social media user Acyn posted a zoomed-in photograph of Trump’s hand, ruthlessly mocking the strange blemish and opening the floodgates for a wave of bizarre medical theories.
He posted: “The President’s hand not looking too great.” The image seemingly displays an injury on his hand, which appears distinctly red, reports the Express.
Separate video footage shows the President seemingly gripping his hands quite tightly while positioned at his desk.
One observer said: “It looks like they added a mannequin hand onto him!” Another posted: “Not even trying to hide it. What’s going on?”.
A third added: “OMG. What is wrong with his pointing finger? It looks like it’s about to fall off his hand.”
Meanwhile, another individual wrote: “Trump doesn’t do any physical labour. How did he get a wound like this?”. A further comment read: “Look at his hand, and especially that finger! It’s more than bruised!”.
The recent speculation follows the distribution of detailed images of the President’s hand, leading to comparisons with that of a “dead person.”
Photographs of Trump’s right hand surfaced after he briefly spoke to journalists in Wisconsin earlier this month, prior to a planned roundtable discussion with rural farmers.
At the time, his hand looked discoloured and seemingly masked with concealer, sparking widespread conversation.
Amid growing conjecture, the White House previously sought to clarify the situation, with Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt attributing the bruising to handshaking.
The unusual colouring on the 79-year-old’s hand was first noticed several weeks after the November 2024 presidential election.
