An England interview with Morgan Rogers and Jude Bellingham appeared to get a bit awkward after a joke made by the Real Madrid man about his compatriot’s celebration.

The Aston Villa forward is well known for pulling out the signature “cold” hand gesture, which sees the player rub his harms as if feeling a little bit chilly. The iconic move was first brought out by Rogers in 2023 while playing for Middlesborough, although the celebration was then picked up by former teammate and current Chelsea man Cold Palmer.

Despite not originally being his, Palmer has seemingly made the move his own, even trademarking it and incorporating it into his logo. While Rogers has in the past said that he is not bothered by Palmer nabbing his moves, that did not stop Bellingham from doing his best to rub salt in the moves, making a joke about the situation during an England training camp video that the Villa man seemed to not find so funny.

When asked which out of Rogers and Bellingham “has a better celebration?”, Bellingham can be seen cracking a smile next to his compatriot, before responding: “mine or Cole’s?”

While both Bellingham and the interviewer see the funny side, with both falling into fits of laughter, Rogers himself seemed to see less of the funny side.

The forward then tells the interviewer: “Cut. Cut this right now”, before looking angrily down the camera.

The awkwardness continues when Rogers asked the interviewer “have you done your research?”

Thankfully, Rogers’ severe reaction seems to have been just a joke, as he eventually joins Bellingham in laughing and smiling about the comment.

The Madrid man can even be heard joking: “It is an easy nibble.”

Rogers, however, was clearly keen to give it back, joking that all Bellingham does is “put your arms out”, arguing that players have been doing similar “since the 1940s”.

England fans will be encouraged to see two star players seemingly relaxed and having a laugh, as Thomas Tuchel’s man work to put in their final preparations before their opening game against Croatia on Wednesday 17th June.
