Andoni Iraola is set to be busy in the transfer market

Andoni Iraola’s summer at Liverpool is showing no signs of letting up. The Spaniard is nearing three weeks into his tenure since taking the reins and has already secured his first signing in Victor Munoz.

The Spanish international bolsters the Reds’ attacking options with further additions targeted in the forward areas. The Premier League outfit are set for another significant period of transition with the departures of Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate already reshaping Iraola’s squad.

Regarding potential arrivals, the latest development in the Bradley Barcola transfer saga has surfaced, while a deal with a Reds target is reportedly in the bag. Here, the Daily Star Sport delves into the most recent news from Anfield.

Barcola boost

Barcola’s future looks set to be one of the summer’s ongoing narratives as contract negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly at an impasse. The French international is contracted to the club until 2028.

However, the stalemate over a new agreement has sparked rumours the Champions League victors could be open to his departure. According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger is attracting interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

The latter have been monitoring Barcola since last year. The Reds currently boast three left-wingers in Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and new recruit Victor Munoz, with Barcola’s potential arrival taking the tally to four.

Such a move for the 23-year-old would complement the signing of Yan Diomande, rather than just one player joining the club, it’s claimed. Barcola could be available for £86million.

Diomande agreement

Identified as the successor to Mohamed Salah, Liverpool have informed RB Leipzig of their readiness to table a bid worth up to £87million for Diomande. Nevertheless, the Bundesliga outfit are believed to be demanding a fee nearer to £112m for the Ivory Coast sensation.

Looking to secure a fresh deal with the 19-year-old, Leipzig could face a battle following reports that the Reds have struck personal terms with Diomande.
