Scottish hunk Sam Robertson was seen cheering on the team in their 3-0 loss to Brazil, but fans were livid when the actor kept fiddling with himself during an interview
Fans were left seething when a Coronation Street star could not keep his hands to himself during an interview. The actor is currently stateside for the World Cup, but viewers were livid when he kept up the disgusting habit.
Scotland’s chances of making the Round of 32 are meagre after their brutal 3-0 loss to Brazil on Wednesday night (June 24). But ahead of the match, the Tartan Army filled the stadium in Boston cheering on the team.
One of the thousands of Scottish fans who forked out a fortune to be at the match was Sam Robertson, known for his role as Adam Barlow on Corrie. Speaking in a quick interview, Sam, 40, said he was thrilled to be there.
However, while the interview was going on, fans could not help but see Sam playing around with his testicles over the kilt he was wearing at the time. As the chat goes on, Sam fidgets more and more with his phone in his hand.
Chatting about Scotland’s chances, he explained: “It’s the World Cup − anything can happen.” When asked how he was soaking up the atmosphere, a cheeky Sam chucked: “It’s been a few days on the sauce.”
The caption of the interview read: “The big man loving his time with the Tartan Army!” But fans soon rushed to the comments to make their thoughts known over what the ITV actor was doing on top of his kilt.
One user penned: “Does he need some cream?” while a second joked: “Scratching the baws.” A third added: “Itchy, itchy!” whereas a fourth said: “I’m guessing that wool kilt is a little itchy on the ‘boys’.”
Another user added: “Wool and heat are not a good combination.” While one extra joked: “Someone needs an antihistamine.”
Sam has been throwing himself into the World Cup fever whilst in the US, being seen chanting with fellow Scotland supporters. He even climbed onto the tables of a bar to show his love for the Scotland team.
However, Sam is not the only high-profile Scot to make their way over the Atlantic to cheer on the team. Fellow ITV star Lorraine Kelly has been following the team, giving updates to fans on her ITV show, while Hollywood star Gerard Butler was also seen sporting a kilt for the occasion.
Meanwhile, Sam’s character Adam is still a staple of the drama on Coronation Street. Having joined the soap in 2004, he temporarily left the show for a decade, only to return as a permanent fixture in 2016.
