Nana Kwaku Bonsam wrapped a rope around a chameleon in a hex to ‘tie up’ the Three Lions skipper ahead of the World Cup game against Ghana
The Ghanaian witch doctor who put a curse on Harry Kane reckons England’s super striker will leave Panama spellbound – after boasting hoodoo has made him rich.
Nana Kwaku Bonsam wrapped a rope around a chameleon in a hex to ‘tie up’ the Three Lions skipper ahead of the World Cup game against Ghana. It was a no-score bore in which Kane skied a sitter over the bar – a chance boss Thomas Tuchel admitted his Captain Fantastic would normally net ‘99 times of 100’.
Bonsam said he has now lifted the Kane curse – posting a video online showing him cutting the ropes he claims were restricting England’s super striker.
He reckons Kane – who he described as his ‘brother’ – will dazzle in Saturday’s crunch final group game against Panama. England need a win to top the group.
Bonsam said his work to help Ghana’s team – also set to qualify for the knockout stages – was now done.
He said as a result of his hex he was now the ‘most powerful spiritualist in the whole wide world’ and folk across the globe were throwing cash at him for their own bit of life-changing magic.
Bonsam boasted he had a rich lifestyle and could afford fancy clothes.
“The shirt I am wearing cost $3,500 (£2,648) and the watch is a Royal Oak brand,” he said.
“I can take off my shirt for you to check the brand I’m wearing. I won’t lie for anything and now there’s AI now so you check.
“People think we spiritualists don’t have money. We are also capable of buying expensive things.
“There’s a lot of people around the world. They’re calling me – want to send me money.
“Harry Kane is not my enemy. I love Harry Kane. He’s going to perform very, very well this match.
“I know for sure Harry Kane is going to play, and play very, very well. He’s going to perform very, very good. You just mark my words.
“Harry Kane, you are my brother. I love you.”
Bonsam – whose name translates as ‘Devil Of Wednesday’ – said Africans had inherited ‘powers’ from their ancestors.
In 2014 he claimed to have tried to make Ronaldo miss that year’s World Cup at which Portugal were in the same group as Ghana.
Ronaldo was injured before the tournament but still played and scored the winning goal in the game though both countries were eliminated in the group stage.
Bonsam said before England played Ghana in Boston earlier this week he had prayed to his forefathers to unleash ‘Africa power’ on the Lions.
He revealed he had used a hitlist of England’s players’ names – including Kane’s – in his curse.
“This is not a trick. This is not AI. See this black magic,” he said.
As he scrapped the hex he announced: “Ok, I’m done with the players.”
He said he had freed up the England team so ‘they are going to show their ability’ against Panama.
But he refused to put a curse on England’s opponents so the group decider will be a fair fight.
