Asad Hussain, 36, of Cheadle, was found guilty of stalking after creating fake Tinder profiles for his ex-girlfriend, promising men a ‘rape fantasy’ and ‘rough sex’ at her home
A stalker who faked Tinder dating profiles for his ex claiming she enjoyed “rough sex” in a sick bid to entice men to her home to sexually assault her has been jailed for eight years. Asad Hussain, 36, originally masqueraded as ‘Mick Renney’ on social media and went on multiple dates with the mother before establishing a short-lived relationship.
But Chester Crown Court was told that the romance concluded in May 2024 due to his excessive paranoid jealousy. A jury was told Hussain would grow irritated whenever she encountered other men, persistently pressing her doorbell for hours and examining her phone contacts.
His domineering conduct stretched to demanding he be present whenever she used her phone and, on one instance, barging into her bathroom, shoving her to the floor, and grabbing her mobile, reports the MEN.
After their split, as many as 35 men started turning up at her residence claiming they had connected with her on Tinder and expecting the “rape fantasy” and “rough” sex pledged on the application.
The men, misled by the fake profile constructed by Hussain, presented the victim with her alleged profile and messages, which contained declarations implying that if she said “no”, it meant she “wanted it more”.
Cheshire Police initiated an investigation and discovered that Renney was a false identity employed by Hussain of Heald Green, Cheadle. He was convicted of stalking involving serious alarm or distress, assault, and failure to comply with a Section 49 RIPA Notice.
In a distressing event that occurred in September 2024, the woman answered her door, only for a man to push it open, causing a glass panel to break.
He presented her with messages from the counterfeit Tinder account, instructing him that the front door was unlocked and that he should give the door a ‘shove’ as it was ‘stiff’.
Later that same day, another man turned up at her home while her teenage daughter was upstairs on her own, gaining entry to the house without any trouble. He remained inside the property for several minutes before departing.
Thankfully, many of the men who visited her home offered their contact information, keen to assist with any ensuing police investigation..
In their statements to the police, the men recounted remarkably similar experiences where they matched with someone they thought was her on Tinder..
They were swiftly invited to her home, provided with her phone number, and upon arrival, were asked about the cars parked outside.
They were then informed she was waiting for them in the conservatory and were directed to enter her home.
It’s believed that at least 18 men were tricked into visiting her address. The actual number, however, remains uncertain, according to the police..
The force added: “Officers were able to demonstrate that every time the Tinder accounts were active, Hussain had travelled from Cheadle to the Northwich area, either staying at an industrial unit he rented or parked in a layby on the A556 two miles from the victim’s home while operating the fake Tinder accounts for hours at a time.
PC Keith Terrill, the investigating officer, stated: “This is one of the most disturbing stalking cases Cheshire Constabulary has ever investigated.
“Hussain is an extremely deceitful individual whose only objective was to cause maximum harm to the victim and her children, even going as far as to incite others to break into her home and sexually assault her.”
In a victim personal statement read out to the court, the victim said she felt ‘constantly’ in danger ‘wondering who is going to knock on the door next’.“I was with my husband for more than 20 years and after his death I tried to date again,” she said. “Look what has happened. I suffer from ill health which has been severely impacted by the stress of trial. Will this end now he has been convicted?“This has been a terrifying ordeal. My home has been violated. He created a fictional narrative that put my life at risk. There are so many men out there who were told that I want them to enter my home and harm me. Just because I told Asad no. What happens if I come across one of them?“I am permanently anxious and scared and nowhere feels safe. It is a pure miracle that I was not harmed but I still have mental scars.”The statement added: “No man has the right to put a woman in fear. No should mean no. He has never accepted responsibility for what he did, I have never had an apology and I don’t think I ever will.”
Jailing him for seven years for stalking and an additional 12 months for failing to comply with a RIPA notice, Judge Leeming told Hussain, of Hankinson Avenue, Heald Green, that his offending had a ‘substantial impact’ on the victim’s life.
