New Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has seemingly suffered a major double transfer blow in his search to replace club icon Mohamed Salah.

Iraola has already wrapped up his maiden summer acquisition after the club struck a deal for Osasuna winger Victor Munoz. There has been considerable attention on the team’s wide alternatives, as the Reds brace themselves to move into the post-Salah period. RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande has surfaced as a prime transfer objective. Liverpool allegedly had an £86.7million offer turned down earlier this month, with the German outfit rating him nearer to £112m.

Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola represents another wide player who has been connected with a high-profile switch to the Reds. The 23-year-old featured in the squad that claimed Ligue 1 and held onto the Champions League crown last season. Nevertheless, PSG are reported to have clarified their position regarding the forward potentially departing the club. Here’s all the latest news from Anfield.

Liverpool have been repeatedly linked with Barcola throughout the summer window. Yet, the PSG winger is not available for purchase, despite the conjecture over his future, reports the Mirror.

The Athletic reports that PSG are under no pressure to offload Barcola, who netted 13 goals and provided seven assists last term.

It is suggested that the winger is hesitant to pen fresh terms, with two years remaining on his existing deal, amid worries over his game time.

Sources also claim that PSG rate him at over £116m, the figure Manchester City have agreed to fork out for Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson. Barcola moved to PSG from Lyon in 2023.

Yan Diomande has acknowledged that he anticipates departing RB Leipzig this summer. The £112m-rated winger allegedly prefers a switch to PSG ahead of Liverpool, and the 19-year-old has discussed his future.

“First of all, like I said, my dream is playing for my country and making history with my country,” he said ahead of the Ivory Coast’s round of 32 clash against Norway.

“I don’t have Instagram anymore, I don’t have TikTok, so I can’t see anything but I expect to leave [RB Leipzig] of course.

“I have an agent who’s going to manage the rest, but for me the most important thing right now is focusing on the World Cup with my country and making history with them.”

It has been a remarkable ascent for Diomande, who joined Leipzig from Leganes last summer. He bagged 13 and laid on 10 goals across 36 outings for the German outfit.
