A mum and adult star confessed that most men she films explicit scenes with are married and their wives ‘have no idea’, insisting she feels no guilt as it’s ‘just work’
Adult star Holly Jane Johnston has revealed that most of the men she films explicit content with are married and says their wives have no idea. The 43-year-old mum has a long-term partner herself, but he understands that the decision to make content with other men was due to business, not pleasure.
Holly revealed that many of the men she collaborates with are also religious, and struggle to cope with the emotions that come after filming with her, and this ends up ruining their marriages – not their wives finding out. “Most of the men I film with are married and their wives don’t know,” Holly said.
“I don’t feel guilty about it because, if it wasn’t me, they’d find someone else to make content with, sleep with or subscribe to. They’re responsible for their own decisions.”
According to Holly, many of the men convince themselves their collaboration will become something more, and when she tells them it won’t, it makes them self-implode. “Some of them get emotionally attached, but what they’re really attached to is that they think I want more with them,” she said.
“Even though we’ve discussed the whole purpose of this beforehand, some of them think the relationship or the sex is going to continue. When that doesn’t happen, it messes with them.
“They think I need them or want them, so it’s hard for them to accept that I used them for content and then moved on. It can take a while before they finally get the hint, while others keep hoping it will carry on.”
Holly says the fact that the men are religious adds to the internal battle they experience after filming explicit content with her. “Another thing to note is that a lot of the men I film with are religious,” she said.
“I think that’s part of why they end up self-imploding afterwards. They have this impending sense of doom and they’ve been conditioned to think and feel a certain way. Then they want to talk to me about it. I have to tell them ‘You’re boring me.
“I’m not your therapist.” Holly explained that working with different men wasn’t a personal decision, it was a business one after subscribers repeatedly demanded new collaborators.
“It got to the point where fans were saying, ‘When you’ve got videos with a different guy, I’ll come back,” Holly said. “Once I started creating content with lots of different men, my retention and earnings went up by a significant amount.”
Despite the explicit nature of her work, Holly says her partner fully supports the decision because it has helped grow the business. “My partner understands why I had to start filming with other men,” she said.
“If we want to grow, and even maintain the business, then this is what needs to happen. The only boundary we have is that it has to be filmed. Basically, anything goes as long as it’s filmed.”
Holly says she’s able to separate her work from her relationship by completely compartmentalising the two. “I’m really good at compartmentalising, and that’s what helps me keep my intimacy with my long-term partner separate,” she said.
“To me, it’s just acting. We do what we need to do, then it’s over, and I don’t think about it afterwards. I can switch it on and off like a light switch. It’s like someone going to work and filing paperwork. It’s a task. I think most people see it as this huge, emotional thing, but to me it isn’t.
“It’s just work.” Holly insists that her work stays firmly separate from her personal life and says people often misunderstand what happens behind the scenes.
“People outside the industry don’t really understand it,” she said. “When I’m filming videos, I’m at work. Then I put my mum hat on and I’m just a normal person. I’m not hooking up outside of work. A guy can’t just hit on me and expect something to happen.
“If you’re not willing to film, it’s not happening.” The hardest thing about this situation is actually finding willing collaborators, which has proven more difficult than many people assume.
“You’d think there would be millions of applications, but guys are lazy,” Holly laughed. “They have to get tested, create an [adult content] profile and go through the verification process.
“Finding someone who’s willing to do all of that is harder than you’d expect.” Rather than hiring professional performers, Holly says she deliberately seeks out ordinary men.
“I’ll film with the average Joe because the guys watching my content are just average Joes,” she said. “If the men I film with look like professional performers, it doesn’t do as well. Honestly, I’m basically a MILF on the hunt for the dad bod.”
