Uri Geller has claimed credit for England blasting into the World Cup quarter-finals after claiming he used a supernatural “alien” crystal skull to shatter a curse on the Three Lions. The legendary spoon-bender says Thomas Tuchel’s men have him to thank for their dramatic march to the final eight, insisting his mystical meddling completely nullified any spooky forces holding the team back.

England fans suffered a collective heart attack when the team trailed DR Congo deep into the second half of the round of 32, before a heroic Harry Kane double saved the day. They then survived a chaotic, 10-man thriller to knock out co-hosts Mexico 3-2 in a hostile Azteca Stadium.

However, according to Geller, it wasn’t just Tuchel’s tactical genius or Kane’s clinical finishing that got the job done – it was intergalactic intervention.

The 79-year-old psychic mastermind revealed the extraterrestrial secret weapon he deployed to secure England’s spot in the quarter-finals against Norway.

Posting on Facebook before the Mexico game, he wrote: “This relic, which could even be of alien origin, was discovered telepathically by me many years ago hidden deep inside a Mayan pyramid. I plan to harness its supernatural energies to see England through to the quarter-finals.”

He added: “Look, I am no miracle worker nor a prophet, but I will do my best to achieve my goal! I definitely lifted the curse.”

It’s not the first time the psychic guru has had to step in to save England’s blushes on the world stage. The Star previously revealed how Geller had to go to psychological warfare against Ghanaian witch doctor Nana Kwaku Bonsam, who had allegedly placed a hex on captain Harry Kane.

He said: “After the witch doctor saga, I am constantly helping England win. Whether you believe in curses and witch doctors is another story. But psychologically, when something like this comes out, footballers are often very superstitious.

“I was concerned that Harry might go onto the pitch with fear in him, so I decided to counter the witch doctor’s curse. I have never used my mental powers to hurt, curse or hex anyone.

“When I try to help a team or individual, I focus only on boosting what is already inside them—their talent, courage, confidence, instinct, and strength.”

Geller’s psychic shields clearly did the trick, with Kane bouncing back from the “hex” to hit vital goals across the tournament.

The mind-reader insists he is constantly beaming “positive energy and optimistic vibrations” directly into the brains of Tuchel’s squad, acting as a cosmic shield against the rest of the world.

He believes his otherworldly powers, combined with the raw hope of the nation, could finally see England replicate the legendary heroics of 1966.

He’s even got a World Cup-winning shirt from ’66 and a signed orange football on display in his museum to act as a physical anchor for his psychic energy.

Geller said: “I believe that England can gather an invincible power together with the fans and go on to win. But at the end of the day, I am only a human being with strong psychic powers.”

With Norway up next, England fans will be hoping he keeps that alien skull polished and his psychic radar locked onto the back of the net.
