Liverpool are still in the market for new signings this summer, and PSG winger Bradley Barcola is one player who has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield
Another day in the transfer window presents Liverpool with the chance to bolster their squad after already adding Victor Munoz from Osasuna.
Jeremy Jacquet, who penned his deal in January, has also formally completed his move as Andoni Iraola was present to assess some Liverpool stars this week at the club’s AXA training facility in Kirkby.
He’ll be keen to retain his key players as he becomes more familiar with them, while also recognising that further dealings remain necessary. One player who continues to be associated with the Reds is PSG’s Bradley Barcola. Today’s developments see an understanding reached regarding the Frenchman as the Daily Star Sport rounds up the latest Anfield news.

Liverpool told to pay monster fee
French publication L’équipe have reported that PSG have slapped a whopping £128million valuation on Barcola. Liverpool and Arsenal are understood to be leading the chase for the winger’s services currently.
The report additionally suggests the 23-year-old could become available for transfer should PSG finalise a deal for former Liverpool target Yan Diomande, who is thought to have already settled personal terms with the Parisian outfit. Also working in the Reds’ favour is Arsenal’s reported pursuit of Aston Villa and England sensation Morgan Rogers. Should the Gunners make their move for Rogers, it could hand Liverpool a clear path to Barcola.
PSG are also understood to be targeting AS Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, potentially providing Barcola with additional motivation to seek regular playing time elsewhere. Yet it appears probable that even if Barcola becomes available and interested, the asking price will represent a significant hurdle.
Bradley Barcola agreement
Two former strikers have agreed that Barcola could prove a season-defining signing for the Reds. Ex-Liverpool striker Emile Heskey reckons landing the PSG talent would represent a remarkable coup.
Heskey told BOYLE Sports: “Signing Bradley Barcola would be an amazing coup for Liverpool because he provides the pace and directness we’ve been missing on the left wing. We’ve been spoiled with Sadio Mané and Luis Díaz, and now we need Barcola to get the fans off their seats again.
“Liverpool looked to have missed out on Yan Diomande to PSG, but that could open the door to Barcola leaving, it would be a statement signing for Andoni Iraola that’s for sure.”
Meanwhile, former Everton and Man United striker Louis Saha believes Barcola possesses the attributes required to reach the pinnacle of the sport. Saha told Live Football Tickets: “Bradley Barcola is a terrific player. He has already won two Champions Leagues, and he could even win the World Cup over the next few weeks, his achievements for such a young player are staggering.
“He has become a much-improved player over the past few seasons, he gets better and better every year, and he can go right to the very top of football. What Barcola needs is to move somewhere where he is going to be first choice in his position week in, week out. His confidence will improve ten-fold once that happens, and then he will be a way more dangerous player.
“He has enormous potential, and I’m not surprised Liverpool are looking at him. They need a replacement for Mohamed Salah, and Cody Gakpo has looked uncomfortable at times for them out wide. Barcola could easily fill either of those positions.”
