Carmel Smith says pals are urging her to ‘move out’ after a series of chilling events including capturing a ‘ghost’ watching her 3-year-old on camera
A nurse claims pals are urging her to ‘move out’ after capturing a ‘ghost’ watching her son play in the garden.
Carmel Smith has lived in her house since 2019 and said she has often heard noises and seen ‘ghosts’ that have made her think it is haunted.
The 31-year-old was snapping photos of her three-year-old son playing in the garden when she noticed something ‘freaky’ behind him.
Zooming in, Carmel saw what she says looks like a face peering from her home’s window and watching her son play – which she believes is a ghost.
On the same day, Carmel claims she heard the floor boards of the nursery creak while she was lying in bed.
Upon checking the baby monitor camera, she was shocked to see what appears to be a shadow causing the noise.
The nurse said her friends have urged her to move out while her neighbours believe it is the ghost of one the house’s previous owners.
While the mum-of-one believes in the afterlife, she claims she is not threatened by the ‘ghost’ – even though her cameras have captured ‘screaming’ when the house is empty.
Carmel, from Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, said: “This ghost was looking at my son in the garden, that was quite freaky.
“He has two eyes and a nose and everything, it’s like he is sitting on the table with his hands on his chin, looking in the garden. I just happened to zoom in on the window.
“There’s been weird stuff like the fireplace turning itself on and noises.
“A man lived here before the previous owners, my neighbours are convinced it’s [him] who used to live here.
“I do believe in the afterlife. I’ve always thought there has to be something. There’s lots of things that happen that can’t be explained.
“I was lying in bed when I heard the floor boards creaking.
“I looked at the child’s cam at the same time I heard the floor boards. The cam went active and I saw the shadow. I saw a shadow as if someone was walking on the landing.”
Last summer, Carmel said she went on holiday and set up a camera to watch her guinea pigs.
But the mum was shocked when she heard someone screaming upon reviewing the footage.
The spooky video shows the guinea pig in their cage at 2am, before being startled by a noise sounding like a faint scream.
She even claims she used to see a man standing above her bed at nights, until she told him to ‘go away.’
Carmel insists that she has not edited the photo or videos.
Carmel said: “I was on holiday and I have a video of the guinea pigs and someone screaming.
“I feel like there is something, it is haunted. The screaming on the camera was frightening.
“I had a camera watching the guinea pigs while I was on holiday and around 2am there was screaming.
“People are saying that this can be easily explained, others say ‘oh my God, I just got chills.’
“I have not edited them. My friends are telling us to move out. I’m not threatened at all by it.
“I’ve lived here since 2019. I don’t feel a threat from whoever it is. I didn’t like it, I was a bit frightened.
“I’ve always seen things, there’s been a few nights I woke up in bed and I saw a man standing above my husband. I’ve seen him in a scarf, he has a large nose.
“I told him to go away and I haven’t seen him since.”
