An England supporter was caught on camera being set upon by furious Argentina fans before the explosive semi-final clash.

Scores of Argentinians pursued a solitary Englishman through a tourist hotspot, triggering mayhem on the streets. The two nations have already clashed before a ball has even been struck ahead of a nail-biting World Cup semi-final.

One England fan found himself surrounded by a mob of livid supporters who hounded him from the bar onto the street. The shocking footage was captured on July 11, as reported by NeedToKnow. The scuffle erupted outside Budha Social Club in Cala D’or, Mallorca, Spain.

The pack of Argentina fans seized the Brit before launching punches at him as he tried to shield his head.

The brutal confrontation ignited a mass brawl between the nations with a woman racing to his rescue.

A female, sporting a Messi shirt, tried to obstruct her from the male attackers as the two women wrestled with each other.

The fracas then spread along the strip as increasing numbers of fans became embroiled, creating pandemonium at the beloved British holiday destination.

A witness recorded the altercation after England booked their spot in the final four of the competition with a 2-1 triumph over Norway.

Hours later, Argentina clinched their place in the semi-final with a thrilling 3-1 victory against Switzerland.

The two teams will now clash at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 15. Football supporters were left stunned by the footage.

One person said: “Big group of cowards against one guy who probably doesn’t want any trouble. Would love to see these try any nonsense with a small group of good lads from the North East or Liverpool.”

Another viewer chimed in: “Disappointed I didn’t see a plastic patio chair get flung.”

One other individual remarked: “This is so nice. They met at a neutral location to exchange blows.”

One person observed: “I only see four cowardly Argentines chasing one Englishman. As always in packs of rats.”
