Tom Brady and Logan Paul have been involved in a war of words in recent months, with the NFL legend revealing he is desperate for a WWE invite as the pair’s feud continues to grow
NFL legend Tom Brady slapped WWE wrestler – and general YouTube annoyance – Logan Paul, in a strange exchange at a sports festival.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady, 48, came face-to-face with internet meme-culture face Paul, 31, at Fanatics Fest on Saturday – a sports and pop culture event in San Diego.
There were some cross words exchanged between the pair, before Brady slaps Paul across the right side of his face. New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns got in between the two men and seemed surprised that they had come to blows.
Brady took to social media, sharing the video with the caption: “Dork.”
While Paul reacted: “This happened because I was roasting Tom for beating him in flag football. And he tries to smack me?? Horrible example for the kids. Aura – 100 + blocked. With a torn tricep.”
Paul previously lost his temper with Brady earlier this year when the New England Patriots legend lobbed a ball at him during a game of flag football.
In March, Brady then took a swipe at Paul’s football skills by saying: “Logan pulled out of a lot of fights this week. You scored 19 TDs (touchdowns) in high school. No one cares.”
The “fights” Brady was referring to were speculated bouts between Paul and All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell and Los Angeles Rams star Myles Garrett.
The Brady-Paul feud escalated less than 48 hours after the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, who hung up his boots in 2022, expressed his interest in joining the WWE.
On Cody Rhodes’ “What Do You Wanna Talk About? ,” Brady said: “I need to get an invite. I’ve been waiting for [WWE president] Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”
Paul made his WWE debut in 2021 and has quickly risen to become one of the biggest names in the business. He has been on the sidelines since May due to a torn tricep which he sustained during a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLIV.
The injury necessitated surgery and is expected to keep him out of action for up to six months.
