‘Perfect fit, lightweight trainers. Great for summer – the cushioned lining makes them very comfortable to wear’
Whether spending the summer exploring a sun-soaked destination abroad or staying on home shores, footwear that will hold up to the season of adventure is essential. And Amazon has launched a deal on a pair of trainers from a top brand that have earned thousands of five-star reviews.
The Skechers Women’s Summits 12985 Trainers currently have up to 48% off at the online retail giant, meaning shoppers can snap them up from £30.66 compared to their full price of £60. Available in a range of colours, with versatile black being the most budget-friendly – although the price varies depending on size – these trainers are made with a breathable soft mesh knit upper material designed to keep feet cool, making them a must-have in hot summer weather.
Meanwhile, the bungee-laced front means that these trainers are slip-on with no need to worry about laces coming undone, and a “shock-absorbing” midsole ensures comfort during long days on your feet, according to Skechers. Tried and tested by more than 30,000 shoppers, they have been hailed by many as the “best trainers” for everything from long work shifts to days at the beach, earning an average rating of 4.6 out of five stars.

Despite the size of the discount being dependent on which size and colour of the trainers shoppers go for, nearly all options have been reduced in some way on Amazon. This makes them cheaper to buy from here than on the Skechers website, where they are still listed at their full price of £60, reports Chronicle Live.
This isn’t the only footwear deal being snapped up right now – looking at other sought-after brands, New Balance has also launched a sale where the most popular choice are the Women’s 327 Shoes. These have 30% off in the ‘Moonbeam with Outer Space’ colourway, bringing them down from £110 to £77, although only selected sizes are available.

Available in a range of colours, these trainers have a bungee laced front with a slip-on design, along with lightweight and flexible shock-absorbing midsole, a flexible rubber traction outsole, and a soft mesh knit upper.
Elsewhere, Nike has also slashed prices on shoes with the cheapest trainers deal coming on the Women’s Hard Court Tennis Shoes, which also boast 30% off in selected colours and now cost £48.99 reduced from £69.99. However, there were only a couple of sizes of the reduced options left in stock at the time of writing.
Back on Amazon, one shopper who snapped up the Skechers Women’s Summits 12985 Trainers said: “These are so comfy – my third pair of this particular design. Perfect for spring/summer wear. Love the ease of wearing, super lightweight and breathable, like putting on a pair of comfy slippers and no annoying laces.”
Another praised: “Got them for my job in a kitchen as a chef who’s on her feet eight hours a day. Love them – they’re so comfy, feels like walking on clouds. Can easily be thrown in the wash.”
A third person agreed: “Perfect fit, lightweight trainers. Great for summer – the cushioned lining makes them very comfortable to wear.”
And someone else compared wearing them to “walking on air”, adding: “I am absolutely delighted with these shoes. So comfortable it’s like wearing slippers!”
Despite 79% of Amazon customers have given the trainers a five-star rating, some shoppers raised concerns about the sizing. “A bit on the big side. I ordered size 6 in blue and they are closer to a 6.5 or size 7,” one shopper remarked.
However, others fed back that they ran small, with a different reviewer feeding back: “I’m not quite a size 3, so thought I’d have a little room in these, but they are more like a size 2 and narrow fitting as well.”
