Andy Burnham has celebrated his pubs rates relief by ranking Britain’s favourite bar bites and sharing his love of Pickled Onion Monster Munch. The savvy on social media Prime Minister shared a video of himself and Chancellor John Healey sitting at the high stools sharing snacks.

The short clip has already clocked up over a million views on X, formerly Twitter, as well as 4,000 likes. It comes as Burnham has ruled out a snap election after calls from the opposition for the country to go to the polls.

Crisps, pork scratchings, scampi fries, bacon fries and peanuts were blind ranked by the country’s two most powerful people. To make it fun, the politicians don’t know what snacks are in the test and only find out as they taste them. First up were pork scratchings, which Burnham dubbed “old school like” him and Healey.

Scampi Fries didn’t get much love

The Chancellor was quick to hand pork scratching’s his number one spot while Andy put them in at number 2. The lads then cracked open a pack of scampi fries which can leave a punter with bad breath.

“You hope it wasn’t one of your dates”, quipped Healey as Burnham chuckled along. The fishy bar snack landed in Andy’s number 3 slot while the Chancellor threw it in at 4.

KP Salted Peanuts failed to tantalise the PM as they were cast into the bottom slot while Healey put them in number 3.

A big player then landed in – McCoy’s salt and vinegar crisps. Andy slapped them right into the top spot while Healey ranked them second.

Last but not least were bacon fries, which the Labour leader ranked at 4 and the Chancellor put in at number 5.

The PM also mentioned Marmite twiglets – which would have been his number one had they been included – and Monster Munch Pickled Onion flavour.

Healey loved the crisps

It hasn’t all been fun and games down the pub for the UK’s latest leader as his tea-making method landed him in hot water.

Burnham chooses to add milk into the cup and teabag before hot water to the absolute horror of some.

Instead of dodging questions on the all-important matter, the new PM decided to have a laugh.

In another social media video giving viewers a tour of his No10 North HQ in Manchester – where else – Burnham’s embarrassing YouTube history was shown.

“How to make tea” videos were briefly shown before an agitated Burnham quickly shut down the “tour”.

After the videographer was shown the exit, they snuck back in to catch Andy pouring milk into his cup.
