Sick Axel Rudakubana lied and manipulated the authorities a shocking 26 times before he carried out the horror Southport attacks, it has emerged.
The monster – who murdered three girls at a Taylor Swift themed dance class in 2024 – attempted to con police, doctors and social workers from the age of 13.
Reports by Sir Adrian Fulford, who is heading the Southport Inquiry, have recorded at least 26 instances of the killer’s lies or manipulation from 2019 to the July 2024 murders. The report stated: “Ms Jameson agreed that in some of his answers [Rudakubana] may have been attempting to manipulate her, in particular in relation to the degree of remorse he felt about the attack.”
The Sun reports on the 26 lies the killer, now 19, told before he ultimately carried out the heart-breaking string of murders. They are said to be:

2 – December 2019 – Denies intending tuse knife he’d taken to school.
3 – December 2019 – Denies accessing inappropriate material on school computers online
4 – December 2019 – After school attack, lies knife was for protection.
5 – December 2019 – Attempts to override school IT security to view restricted content.
6 – December 2019 to Jan 2020 – Falsely states school staff fabricated reports.
7 – January 2020 – Lies that clicking on web link to school shootings was random
8 – January 2020 – Claims nunchucks research was for design class.
9 – January 2020 – Lies to counter-terror officers that his brother faked disability.
10 – January 2020 – Lies to Prevent officer he “would not carry knives again”.
11 – February 2020 – Falsely claims to be remorseful over school attack.
12 – January 2021 – Lies in youth referral order assessment.
13 – August 2021- Fabricates physical abuse claims against his father.
14 – January 2022 – Puts down neighbour’s address for delivery of ingredient in poison ricin.
15 – March 2022 – Goes missing for 3 1/2 hours and lies about having a weapon.
16 – March 2022 – Caught with knife on bus, claims he wanted cops to seize his phone.
17 – March 2022 – Conceals fact he possessed a knife to mental health case manager.
18 – April 2022 – Claims to have heartburn to stop taking antidepressants.
19 – December 2022 – Lies to purchase a fresh drug prescription.
20 – April 2023 – Lies that he safely limited online activity to YouTube.
21 – Throughout 2023 – Uses stolen driving licence details to purchase machetes.
22 – July 2024 – Uses father’s details to order knives later used in Souhtport attack.
23 – July 2024 – Lies to father stating chemical equipment in his bedroom was just alcohol.
24 – July 2024 – Uses fake DOB to watch graphic stabbing video online.
25 – July 2024 – On morning of the horror Southport attack, deletes laptop’s browser history.
26 – July 2024 – Uses fake alias Simon when booking taxis before the triple murder
Rudakubana was given a life sentence for the murders of Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine; Bebe King, six; and Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and the attempted murder of eight other children and two adults.
The development comes after Axel Rudakubana has been accused of trying to “manipulate the system” after he was transferred from prison to Broadmoor psychiatric hospital.
Chris Walker, of Bond Turner, who is representing the three bereaved Southport families, said his clients have been given “the barest of details” and he was “urgently seeking a meeting” regarding the decision.
Walker said: “The three families we represent have been made aware of this development in the last 48 hours and it is safe to say that whilst this news would devastate them at any time, the fact that this has occurred as we approach the second anniversary in our view is another move by AR who would appear to be attempting, once again, to manipulate the system.
“We have been given the barest of details and whilst we are supporting the families through this we are urgently seeking a meeting with the appropriate authorities to understand the situation before commenting further.”
The Prison Officers’ Association also issued a statement on Rudakubana move to Broadmoor, claiming he has “played the system” to get a move.
Chairman Mark Fairhurst said: “This vile offender has played the system and will now enjoy the freedoms that are afforded mentally unwell patients in secure psychiatric hospitals, including benefits that law abiding tax payers will fund.
“My members will be placed at risk without the protections afforded to staff in prisons because he is now classed as a patient. He should spend his entire sentence in a prison in solitary confinement.
“My thoughts are with the families of the victims and all those affected by his heinous crimes.”
The Ministry of Justice has confirmed officials approved the transfer to Broadmoor on behalf of ministers, but a spokesperson for the department stressed it does not alter the killer’s 52-year sentence.
