Barcelona star’s position becomes clear
Barcelona star Marc Bernal is said to be on Manchester United’s radar but may choose to remain with his boyhood club, reports the Mirror.
The 19-year-old savoured a breakthrough season last year, scoring five goals and clocking up 35 appearances – enough to earn his Spain debut.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reports United are among numerous clubs to have expressed interest in the 6ft 4in defensive midfielder.
Premier League competitors Arsenal and Chelsea, alongside Roma and Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Nassr, have also been connected with the teenager.
Nevertheless, Mundo Deportivo suggests Bernal maintains “absolute loyalty” to Barcelona.
Bernal remains contracted until 2029 and his agreement reportedly features a massive £427million release clause.
Man Utd ‘in talks’ over £30m deal
Manchester United are reportedly in discussions with Juventus regarding a deal that could see Joshua Zirkzee finally depart Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old flop has found it difficult to secure a consistent place in the team since his arrival from Bologna for £36.5m in 2024.
The Sun reports the Erik ten Hag signing represents a “top target” for Juve, who are spearheading the race for his services.
It’s suggested the clubs are “in talks” regarding a loan arrangement which would feature a £30m obligation to purchase.
The Serie A outfit are believed to have switched their focus to Zirkzee following their inability to secure a transfer for Paris Sant-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands international is purportedly “keen” on linking up with Juventus.
Zirkzee has featured in 75 matches during his two seasons at United, netting just nine goals.
